JOURNEY TO JAH - THE FILM by Noël Dernesch & Moritz Springer
Noël Dernesch & Moritz Springer follow the journey of two persons who found their visions of a better world in the faith and in the rites of an originally black culture: in Rastafari and its corresponding reggae music.
They plan to realize a documentary about Gentleman and Alborosie, two white musicians of international renown, who turned their back on western society and set off to Jamaica to face the ultimate consequences of the messages in their music. They want the film to transport certain emotions: positive, not fearing to name critical topics, just like reggae itself.
Noël Dernesch & Moritz Springer could win a lot of people for their project so far. Port-au-Prince Film & Kultur Produktion and the Filmförderung Medienboard Berlin/Brandenburg supported them already. Noël and Moritz want to start shooting in Jamaica in October or November. They need to fill the financial gap by then.
HELP WITH CROWD FUNDING !
Crowd funding enables Noël Dernesch & Moritz Springer the production of an independent film. They want to use the idea of Kickstarter to finance the film. The goal is set to $ 60.000 and the deal is ALL OR NOTHING, that means:
If you want to donate a certain amount of money, this amount will be marked on your credit card . Only if the desired amount of $ 60.000 is reached the amount you want to give will be debited from your account. If the goal is not reached , nothing will be charged from your credit card. Consequently this would mean that the film can’t be realized.
Depending on the amount of your donation you will receive different benefits (DVD, T-shirt, concert ticket or an invitation to the premiere of the film).

In the course of the ‚International Weeks against Racism 2011’ in Saarbrucken and in co-operation with the campaign ’Laut gegen Nazis’, the musician Gentleman will give a live-performance in the club ‘Garage Saarbrucken’ to point out the increasingly disrespect towards others showing clearly courage against racism, homophobic behaviour and right-wing extremism.
Last year the campaign ‘Laut gegen Nazis’ already organized and realized the ‘International Weeks against Racism’ with the collaboration of local partners like Jugendzentrum Försterstraße, DGB Jugend Saar and Café Exodus. As well as in 2010, the resulting overplus of the whole event will be donated to non-profit and non-governmental organizations.

After his successful first single "It No Pretty", Gentleman and the young and outstanding newcomer CHRISTOPHER MARTIN from Jamaica now introduce the 2nd single "TO THE TOP" from Gentleman's No. 1 album "Diversity".
The music video was recorded in Marrakesh/ Morocco. At 45 degrees in the sun, Gentleman and Christopher worked until the late evening to finish this very special video clip.
For already several weeks, the clip is rotating on every music- and clip channels, as well as websites with up to 100,000 clicks. Next week there will be an additional live-clip which was recorded at the Summer Jam Festival in Cologne.
The live version of "To The Top" is more impulsive and pumping than the original version, which is already very strong. Everything is set up straight "to the top".

For the second single “To The Top” from his #1 album “Diversity” Gentleman collaborated with just about 23 years old Christopher Martin – a shooting star in jamaicans reggae scene. This bouncing Dancehall blast sparkles with optimism and euphoria.
This sunny video was shot in Marakesh and rotates from next week on all famous TV music channels – and like we said you can watch it even today here on gentleman-music.com. The clip dips into the exciting world of Morocco in rapid colorful pictures.
